Applies to Self-Extracting, HTML Viewer, IE Browser publications. This tab allows you to specify some basic information about your publication. Publication TitleHTML Executable requires a title to use in message boxes and window title bars. The publication consists of a short and descriptive phrase, such as "My wonderful site" or "Demonstration for E=mc²". This title will finally appear in the Windows taskbar and task manager. Company Information Company information items are stored inside the publication data. They display in the About box, when errors occur and when setting the version information parameters for the .exe output file. This helps your end users in contacting you for further information. You must, at least, specify the company's name and email address. However, it is recommended that you provide your end users with the maximum amount of information about your company.
Finally, the company logo is a bitmap graphic that should represent your company or something related to the contents of your publication. It is used in the About boxes or on the main dialog box for SFX publications. You can select a new logo by clicking Modify. An editor then lets you load, save and paste from the clipboard (only if it contains bitmap data) or lets you clear the current logo. This logo should remain small (40x40) and should also be in an 8-bit color format (256 colors).
The logo should have a background color because it is converted to a transparent GIF.
Only images in bitmap format are supported.
The logo is saved inside the project file so you do not need to keep the file.
You can use our product GConvert to extract and convert icons into usable logos. Just select an icon and click Copy in GConvert, then click Paste in the HTML Executable's bitmap editor.
Some logos are available in the "Logos" subfolder of HTML Executable.
| Tip: these information items and the default logo file can be set in the Environment Options, so each time you create a publication, the default settings will be used. |
